SEEN IS BACK
Whether you are brand new to theatre or an experienced artist, SEEN is an excellent opportunity for playwrights, performers, directors and producers to be seen. It's a place to try something new, test ideas, have a chat, have a drink, and have a laugh. IN PERSON!
During this interim between coming out of lockdown and closing our doors (temporarily) in October, we would like to experiment with what SEEN looks like for our current and hopefully new participants and audiences.
How does it work?
We've made some changes, but it's still super simple...
Send us your work, and will we give you a date. Just make sure it's no longer than 15 minutes. It doesn't just have to be a play, it can be anything written that can be performed in some way. Then on the day you'll have an hour or two in the theatre space to rehearse with your team before a script-in-hand performance. If you and your collaborators want to rehearse more beforehand, that's absolutely fine and totally up to you. Let us know if we can help.
Basically, we want you to have as much fun with your work as possible. Whether it's to trial something new, get something wrong, be provocative, be silly, we want to see it. This is the space for you.
If you are interested, please send your script and an email giving a quick introduction to yourself to seen@otherroomtheatre.com.
When you email, let us know if you have a cast and/or creative team already. If you need help finding a director or actors, or any support at all, we will be here to help you. And check out the dates of SEEN below, and let us know if you can't make any!
When is SEEN?
SEEN will take place monthly(ish), but always at 5:30pm on a Sunday. SEEN will take place on the following dates between March and October 2022: 27th March, 5th June, 26th June, 7th August, 21th August, 18th September, 16th October.
Have Any Suggestions?
The Other Room are undergoing some big changes, and SEEN is no exception. We are using this period between March - October 2022 to try something new with SEEN, and are open to any and all feedback.
