VOLUNTEER

As a registered Charity, The Other Room always has, and always will rely on the goodwill of volunteers.

Volunteer ushers play an essential role in the day-to-day operations of The Other Room, but, seeing as we are between spaces, what happens to our voluntary opportunities? Well, there is a lot of work to do.

To make the new venue safe and fit for purpose, it will not only takes investment of hard cash, but also investment in time and energy.

The problem is, we are a small team. We drew a line under staff and freelancers working for nothing years ago, and where it comes to specialist tasks we are of course paying our freelancers and contractors fair and appropriate rates of pay.

There is a lot of work that needs doing that will require a volunteer workforce to make it happen.

From manual labour to administration, we want to hear from you and how you think you could help. We’ll be putting together a database of volunteers, and opportunities to help will be allocated on an ad-hoc basis and where appropriate between now and the full completion of the theatre space.

We known not everyone can donate money, but perhaps some people can donate a bit of their time.

As a thank you for anyone who volunteers, we are able to provide Tempo Time Credits.

Tempo Time Credit can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by wide range of local and national partners.
