A Sunny Disposition was not originally programmed as part of the Insomnia Season. While the season was underway, The Other Room presented one of their many scratch programmes, to which local Actor and Casting Director Nicola Reynolds submitted a scrip - that had been written with actor Neil McWilliams in mind. It was presented as a script in hand reading and was so affecting that The Other Room leadership then and there tool Nicola to one side and asked if the play could be added to the ongoing Insomnia Season (which Neil McWilliams was already involved in). Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Neil, Nicola and Executive, Director Bizzy Day (who once again found additional investment to make it happen) the season concluded with this heartbreaking piece about addiction, trauma and grief.
