“The Other room is the best thing to happen in Welsh Theatre in yonks and Constellation Street encapsulates its many charms to perfection. Look, I’m not begging you to go see it, I’m begging you to go live it."

Constellation Street
by Matthew Bulgo
Constellations Street by local writer Matthew Bulgo, remains to this day, our only production that has extended due to popular demand. Running for a total of 4 weeks, with over 1000 audience members, Constellation Street was the directorial debut of Chelsey Gillard (Artistic Director, Torch Theatre), and Dan Jones (Artistic Director, The Other Room).
Written as a quarter of monologues, Constellation Street, was performed as a semi promenade piece, where the small theatre was separated into three distinct rooms and made use of Porter’s courtyard. What many people may not be aware of, is that the decision to present it in this format was only decided on 2 weeks before rehearsals began and was the solution to creative differences in the creative team. This was made possible by the last-minute fundraising efforts of founding Executive Director, Bizzy Day.
