Constellation Street

During the pandemic, The Other Room collaborated with National Theatre Wales, BBC Arts, and BBC Wales to create a rehearsed reading of perhaps one of The Other Room’s most successful productions, ‘Constellation Street’ by Matthew Bulgo. The rehearsed reading was performed by an all-star cast.

This event was then followed by writers response event, where three new writers filled in the blank as it were, writing three new monologues for characters referenced throughout the play – giving a voice to the unseen and unsung characters of Matthew Bulgo’s play. These plays were written by Jafar Iqbal, a former reviewer that was beginning to take a steps into becoming a maker, Welsh actor, Sophie Warren and Pursuit winner Laura Inkpen.
